organized crime

the premise
The FBI defines organized crime as any group having some manner of a formalized structure and whose primary objective is to obtain money through illegal activities. Such groups maintain their position through the use of actual or threatened violence, corrupt public officials, graft, or extortion, and generally have a significant impact on the people in their locales, region, or the country as a whole.

Welcome to Rochester, New York. While it doesn't share the fame of some other cities such as Boston, Chicago, and New York City, the city known as the World's Image Centre is the second largest economy in NY State. The mafia has been a quiet presence for the past fifty years, while the Bratva (the Russian mafia equivalent) has shown up over the past thirty years.

Lately though, a rapid increase of criminal activity has turned the heads of not only city officials, but those of the reigning Italian and Russian bosses. It seems a new faction has joined the organized crime ring in Rochester: the Irish. Without the structure and rules of the Italians and the Russians, the Irish present a formidable opponent to both local factions, as there is very little the Irish won't do to claw their way to the top of the ladder.

Organized Crime is a mob-based RPG that focuses on the power struggle between two reigning crime factions and how that struggle is affected by throwing a new contender into the mix. Factions will have to make alliances to survive or risk falling underneath the control of a more powerful organization.

what we offer as a game
We're sure one question has popped into your head as you've been looking through here: "Why should I join?" Hopefully, we'll be able to help you answer that questions by explaining some of the things we offer here.

Dedicated Mods ⇒ We've been moderating games collectively for over seven years and we've been moderating games together for a couple of years. We respond quickly to questions, holds, and applications and we won't die off.

Writing Prompts ⇒ On the first Monday of every month, we will post a series of writing prompts for players to choose from to help facilitate creativity and inspire writing.

Character Match-Ups ⇒ Every other month, we will facilitate random character match-ups for scenes and threads. Players will submit their characters and we will then randomly pair them up and they will be responsible for writing a thread together.

Point System ⇒ For every prompt and match-up completed per character, a player receives a point. For every five points earned, players will be rewarded with icons, banners, or headers for either their character or any PB of their choice.
